From Discomfy to
Comfy with Conflict

This activity-based workshop will get staff to: 
  • Using the 3 Ways to Conflict Model, we will explore their own comfort (or discomfort) with personal conflict - and analyze what they are modelling for campers.
  • Get the skills to recognize conflict brewing, and learn how to lean into it in a productive way.​

Tools for Conflict

Staff will learn easy and productive tools to handle their own conflicts, and conflicts with campers.

​In this session we will go over:
  • ​Ways to intervene when conflict is brewing, versus increasing.
  • Approachability Statements so that our peers and leaders know how to interact with us when giving feedback.
Share, Connect & Try!

For this session Kathleen will set us up for success when having more honest conversations. 
​
Staff will break into groups and share:
  • Their answers to the 3 Ways to Conflict Model
  • Their answers to Approachability Statements
  • ​Role plays about conflict with peers and conflict - staff will try out the tools they just learned.

Can we just use the recording instead of showing up at a Specific time?
Absolutely!  The recording is yours to use with your camp team in any way that works best for your community.
Can we come to part of the conference but not the whole thing?
For sure!  Do what is right for your training schedule.  You could use the recording to finish the workshops during your training if that works for you.
CAn my senior staff attend an earlier session and then bring full staff to another?
Definitely.  Once you have purchased a full-staff session just send an email to [email protected] - and I will make sure that you get the link.
